“it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place”

– Lewis Carroll

Hi there! I am a PhD student at the Department of Animal Ecology & Tropical Biology at the University of Würzburg, Germany, studying insect diversity along an elevational gradient in the Peruvian Andes. My main research interest can be summarized as the response of organisms to climate change, particularly in the context of thermal tolerances. I love mountains, exploring remote places, and observing wildlife from huge elephants in Tanzania to tiny velvet worms in Tasmania—Adventures, which I tend to combine with my passion for nature photography and digital illustration.
